We believe that there is only one true and living God, Creator of all things, infinite, unchangeable, and eternally existent in three Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – having the same nature and attributes. We believe in His sovereignty over all creation.

We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts concerning sin, righteousness and judgment, leading to repentance, and that He seals, indwells, teaches, guides and comforts every genuine believer. We believe that the experience some call “baptism of the Spirit” is the experience of every believer whereby he/she was united to the body of Christ which takes place at the moment of salvation. It is not a separate experience. We believe that the “filling of the Spirit” is a continual opportunity whereby every obedient believer can have victory over sin, power in ministry, and joy in his/her Christian walk.

We believe that God, in His infinite wisdom and goodness, created men and women, thereby determining their sexual identity. He gave each gender their own unique characteristics and designed a covenant relationship between them to be for their lifetime. He intends that sexual relationships are to be ONLY in the context of marriage and ONLY between a man and a woman. Thus, we believe that God disapproves of “sexual sins” such as adultery, fornication, pornography, incest, bisexuality, homosexuality, lesbianism, sodomy, transgenderism, bestiality, all of which are perversions of God’s gifts and God’s plan. Marriage ceremonies performed in or by this Church will be only those ceremonies sanctioned by God, joining one man and one woman according to their biological gender at birth. Any couple wishing to be married in Bible Baptist Church will be interviewed by the Pastor and/or leadership team. After the interview, it will be decided by the Pastor and/or leadership team whether the church building may be used for a wedding venue.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the ONLY sacrifice/payment for man’s sins which is acceptable to God as the basis for forgiving man’s sinfulness and sins. Because Jesus is perfect, He was able to pay the penalty for every person’s sin(s)! However, God chose to make that forgiveness conditioned upon a person’s (a) acknowledgement of, and repentance from, his/her own sinfulness, and (b) believing/trusting that Jesus’ substitutionary death is sufficient to atone for that person’s sin. Thus, salvation is a gift to be received, not something that can be earned. The Bible is clear that NO man is saved by any amount of good works, but, rather, only by trusting in the finished “work” of Jesus Christ as adequate payment for what every person deserves for his/her own sin. The wages (the just reward) for sin is death (separation from God), but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ the Lord. We believe that all true believers can have assurance/confidence/security of knowing that the Lord Who redeemed them can, and will, keep them in His good care, both in this life and the life to come. We believe that water baptism by immersion is the Biblical method of making a public profession of one’s having been born again. Water baptism does not save anyone, but rather, it is a symbolic demonstration of the washing away of sins by the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the personal existence of the devil called Satan and of his demons who do his bidding. Satan is the adversary of man and the enemy of Christ. It is his mission and purpose to thwart the work of God, to prevent mankind from turning to and worshiping God, and to counterfeit those things which God wants for His children, such as joy, peace, fruitfulness, etc. We believe that God has appointed a day in which Satan will be eternally punished and prevented from ever again performing his wicked deeds.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4; 2 Timothy 2:26; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 20:10
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead – of believers unto everlasting blessedness in the first resurrection, and of unbelievers to everlasting punishment in the second resurrection which is called the “second death”. We believe that the Lord Jesus will come to “rapture” true believers out of this present world at a time known only to God, after which the nation of Israel, and the world, will experience a “Great Tribulation” and that following the tribulation, the Lord will establish a millennial kingdom on this earth and He will rule and reign the earth from Jerusalem. Following the Millennium, Satan will be loosed and will raise up an army against God known as the Battle of Armageddon. God will destroy this army, and Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire where he will remain in torment forever. Following that will be the Great White Throne Judgment, in which all unsaved will be judged according to their works, and all unsaved will be cast into the Lake of Fire where they will remain for all eternity while the saved will remain with the Lord in Heaven for all eternity.

We believe that man was created by God in His image, but sin marred that image and separated man from God. The Bible is clear that ALL mankind has sinned – the ONLY exception being Jesus Christ – and as such, every person needs God’s forgiveness and to be saved from sin’s power and penalty.
Genesis 1:26-27; 3:1-6; 3:16-24; John 3:3-8; Romans 3:10-18, 23; Romans 5:12; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 2:1-3; Titus 3:5
We believe that the “Church” was established at Pentecost as recorded in Acts. The Church and Israel remain two distinct groups both historically and prophetically. God will have dealings with both in His own way, in His own time. The true Church of Jesus Christ is comprised of all born-again believers in Christ since Pentecost (Acts 2). Those true believers which are alive today then seek to assemble together in local churches so that together they might worship and serve their God and Savior. We believe in the priesthood of all believers – that Christ is our one and only Great High Priest and through Him, every born-again person has direct access into God’s presence without the aid of a human priest or intercessor.

AUTHORITY - We believe that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments – as originally given by God – were plenarily and verbally inspired, fully inerrant, and that the Bible has been preserved to be the only absolute and infallible authority in matters of faith and lifestyle.
TRANSLATIONS – We do not believe that there can be only one good translation of the Bible from the original manuscripts. We do not hold to a KJV-only position, even though we generally use the KJV in our preaching and teaching.
2 Samuel 23:2; Psalm12:6-7; 19:7-11; Ecclesiastes 3:14; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (God the Son, manifest in the flesh) – His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious/substitutionary and atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His bodily ascension into Heaven, His imminent return to rapture His Church, and following a great Tribulation, His personal millennial reign on the earth.

1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Philippians 2:5-7; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Hebrews 4:15; 9:24;
Revelation 19:11-20:6
We believe that even true believers will not be sinless until they are with Christ in glory. While we remain in this world, we will sin. However, the goal and determined purpose of true believers is to NOT sin. When we DO sin, we are to confess that sin to God and turn from that sin so that we may receive God’s forgiveness and be restored to fellowship with Him. If that sin involves other people, we must seek their forgiveness and restore fellowship with them.
